Intelligent beings reflect on the meaning of joyful and carefree coexistence on a green-blue sphere that moves continuously in boundless space and revolves around itself
Wall in the Millerntor Stadium, Hamburg
“Intelligent beings reflect on the meaning of joyful and carefree coexistence on a green-blue sphere that moves continuously in boundless space and revolves around itself” expresses the Ukrainian graffiti artist Somari about her newest mural in the Millerntor Stadium @fcstpauli ! With a rich history of exploring themes of peace, Somari’s artistry has already left an indelible mark on the Stadium walls.
Her visual art style is an offshoot of post-graffiti. Somaris current artistic practices are centred around the creation of a plot and mythology of her own universe. This fantasy world is the author’s assumption of the emergence of a new civilisation that could hypothetically develop as part of a singular scenario after the end of the world. The story is centred on a technologically advanced civilisation and a unique flora. The narrative delves into the conflict between the attempts of intelligent beings to dominate and control nature by playing the role of creator and the preservation of culture, roots, and identity. Each subsequent project will outline storylines and add new details to this world.
The artwork is a cooperation project with @congstar_de ! The wall is now part of the ballroom in the Millerntor Stadium.
Another project with banners around the stadium is here.
